Do you believe the Paleo diet is critical for everyone, or just people who struggle with or are prone to heart conditions?
11:04
Walk us through a day in your life, what do you eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, and when do you eat it?
Listener Questions:
Q1 - 16:25
Q: Since I’ve been doing Intermittent Fasting, almost EVERYTHING on my lab work has improved. The only area that has not improved is my cholesterol- my cholesterol levels are really high and I think the reason is because I’ve been eating so much fat. My good cholesterol is really good, but my bad cholesterol is really high. Can you explain the difference in the two types of cholesterol? What do you think is causing this? I don’t understand why everything is improving through Intermittent Fasting EXCEPT this? I am also eating cleaner than I ever have!
-Charlotte in Columbia
Q2 - 22:22
Q: I just recently had a food sensitivity test and the things that I got red flagged on were things like spinach, lettuce and pineapple- which I thought was a little strange. I took another one and it came back different, and it red flagged all these different healthy vegetables. Do you think these food sensitivity tests are legit? If so, why are they coming out different? Do you think my issues have anything to do with leaky gut?
-Daphne in Texas
Q3 - 27:15
Q: Slowly, it seems like all of my friends are becoming vegan. They have me watching documentaries and are trying to convince me to give up meats. My diet is currently meats, vegetables, and cheese, I am Keto for the most part. I feel really great when I eat this way, and I find my body craving things like red meat. What do I say to these friends that are hell bent on getting everyone they know to stop eating meat?
- Paula in Utah
Q4 - 32:14
Q: I have developed Sleep Apnea over the past year or so, which I am reading can be really bad for my heart. How can I change up my diet and try to treat this naturally before it gets worse?
-Terri in Charlottesville
Q5 - 34:30
Q: I have both Fatty liver and Hypothyroidism. What do you recommend for me to do? I’m trying Intermittent Fasting and Keto now but not so sure if that’s what I really needed. Should I do Paleo and IF instead?
-Bess
Q6 - 39:03
Q: On your podcast, you’ve talked about the importance of tons of fiber. What are some of my best options for supplements? I’ve tried Metamucil a few times and it always makes me feel really bloated and gross.
-Angela in Northern VA
Q7 - 41:00
Q: I’ve been reading a lot of different things about the supplement Berberine, and how good it is for you. I am really trying to simplify my supplements like you talked about on the podcast, but this one keeps coming up everywhere! Is it something I should add to my daily repertoire?
-Haley in Georgia
Q8 - 43:17
Q: Recently I’ve heard an increase in the trend of the Carnivore diet, both in the Paleo and Ketogenic communities I follow. I have a friend that does this, and he eats several meats per meal, and it’s all he eats! No veggies or anything. What is your opinion on this way of life, besides it not being too tasty, I just can’t wrap my mind around getting all the nutrients I need from meat alone?
- Alison in Great Neck, NY
Q9 - 44:59
Q: I’ve worked really hard to clean up my diet and get my nutrients from food. I’ve weened all of my blood pressure medicine, but the one thing I still take is Staten for my heart. Is there anything I can do to ween myself off this?
-Gary in Syracuse
Q10 - 46:19
Q: I’ve heard some really mixed reviews about probiotics lately, and it seems like everyone is talking about prebiotics now, which is something brand new to me! What is the difference in these, and what do you recommend I take? Also, what is your opinion on digestive enzymes?
-Erin in Pennsylvania
Q11 - 47:24
Q: It’s that time of year again! All my friends on Facebook are debating giving their children the flu shot. I was shocked that they even set up a flu shot clinic at my son’s elementary school! He was relieved when I told him that he didn’t have to get one HAHA, but now I am having second thoughts. Do you recommend that I have my kids get the flu shot, and what about me?
- Tara in Birmingham

LISTENER QUESTIONS:
Q1
I feel like I have been so tired lately and feeling meh. My stomach isn’t functioning normal, I am sluggish all the time, and the thing is nothing has really changed as far as my diet, exercise, and sleeping habits. After your last podcast, I am considering a parasite cleanse. Which cleanses do you recommend and think are best?
- Andrea in Bridgewater
Q2
Ok, this is probably the grossest thing someone has asked on your show, but since listening to your podcast with Dr Jay I have been really curious about parasites. I heard crazy stories about your stool on a cleanse, saying you will see the parasites come out inside your stool. I googled it (GROSS, I KNOW) and it looked like little worms. EW! My questions is, when I am doing the cleanse, if I don’t see the worms in my stool, is the cleanse still working?
- Anonymous
Q3
I never had acne as a teenager, but now at the age of 31, I am getting crazy acne on my chin and forehead, especially before and during my period. It is so annoying! What is causing this so late in life, and what can I do to clear it up naturally?
- Lisa in Kansas City
Q4
I am 35 years old and have recently been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. I have made up my mind that I do not want to do chemotherapy or radiation and I am going to take an all natural route. I know that Jennifer is a firm believer that we can attack any disease naturally, and I want to know what advice she has for me?

INTRO QUESTIONS:
Your wife, Heather, was diagnosed with Lyme Disease at a young age, and like so many of us went from doctor to doctor with no real answers! Walk us through your journey and how you became interested in Autoimmune issues?
I listened to your talk at the Candida Summit, and you mentioned that you felt like fasting played a big part in Heather’s healing, and helped with a lot of her inflammation right off the bat. Can you explain how this all works together?
There are so many people like your wife, and like me who are so discouraged because no one can tell them what is wrong with them and what they can do to fix it! What do you say to these people?
Tell us about Microbe Formulas, how did you develop this, and who do you recommend this program to?
So many of our listeners struggle with thyroid and autoimmune issues which you talk about in your book “5 Steps to Restoring Health Protocol”…without giving TOO much away, what can you tell us about these steps?
Your Autoimmune Revolution is coming up on November 5, what can our listeners expect from this event?
LISTENER QUESTIONS:
Q1 - 28:42
Q:I moved into a new house about two months ago. Shortly after I moved in, I had a leak under the sink and a couple days later I noticed a bunch of mold. I cleaned the mold really well with bleach water, and aired it out, but I was really grossed out. I’ve noticed that since this happened (about a month ago), me and my husband have both been feeling a little off. I wouldn’t say that we are sick, but we are both tired all the time, slightly nauseous…just not fully ourselves. Do you think this could be related to the mold, or is this all in my head? How can I test to determine what’s going on and know for sure?
-Ashley in Greensboro
Q2 - 31:21
Q: I got really excited when I saw that Dr Davidson is coming on the podcast because I checked out his website and saw that he talks a lot about Lyme Disease. My son got a tick bite about two weeks ago, and I am wondering if there is anything that I can do to prevent Lyme Disease from developing. When and how can I start testing to see if he has Lyme Disease, and what signs should I be looking for?
-Christie in Arizona
Q3 - 33:00
Q: I loved your podcast with Dr Eric Z about essential oils! I learned so much, and am all about the natural remedies. I struggle big time with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus. Some days I feel great, and some days I can’t get out of bed. For the past five years, I have been from Doctor to Doctor and tried every medication under the sun. I am getting concerned about the damage that these medications are doing to my organs long term. What are some things, such as the essential oils and natural supplements, herbs that you recommend that I do, to help manage my symptoms, and if I really wanted a miracle, to keep them from getting worse? I am willing to try anything at this point?
-Patrice in Delaware
Q4 - 37:04
Q: I have not been feeling well for the past couple of months. I went to the Doctor and had my bloodwork done and they said that everything looks normal. I consulted with Dr Google, and found that many of my symptoms line up with Adrenal Fatigue….I can wake up after sleeping 8 hours and feel exhausted! Besides that, I have gained about 10 lbs over the past couple of months, without changing my diet, my back is sore when I am not exerting myself, and I’ve noticed that if I sit still for longer than a couple minutes, my feet fall asleep and get tingly. Do you think this could be signs of adrenal fatigue, or just a coincidence? Can you talk more about Adrenal Fatigue, what causes it and how I can get back to feeling like myself?
-Grace in Lynchburg
Q5 - 40:37
Q: I have recently gone super hippy, as my husband calls me. I use all natural house hold cleaners, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, skin products, makeup, you name it! The only two things I haven’t been able to ditch are hairspray and perfume! My hippy friends give me a bunch of guilt about using both of these, but I can’t find natural alternatives to either that I really like. In your opinion, is this something I should be stressing, or is it not a big deal, since 99% of everything else that I use is so natural?
-Carrie in Lexington
Q6 - 42:49
Q: If you asked me five years ago what Autoimmune disease is, I would have no idea! I hadn’t even heard of the phrase. Now, I could tell you about at least five friends who are struggling with it in some way. What do you think is causing the epidemic to rise so fast? Or do you think people have always been struggling with it, but just didn’t know how to identify it or give it a name?

What are some of the top essential oils that support weight loss?
11:30
What kind of essential oil plan of attack do you recommend for people with autoimmune issues?
14:48
If you took your family on a vacation, and could only take 5 essential oils with you, which would you take?
Listener Questions:
Q1- 15:51
Q: I have so enjoyed the couple of podcasts you’ve done about CBD oil. I have been taking it for my chronic pain and it has really helped me a lot- I am completely off all my prescription drugs! I know so many people that would benefit from CBD oil, for various conditions, including cancer, but I am receiving some weird push back from the Christian community who don’t seem to understand the difference in illegal drugs and CBD oil, and also the people who think it is just another pyramid scheme. What would you say to both of these groups of people?
- Janet in Atlanta
Q2 - 18:09
My niece is currently undergoing chemotherapy for brain cancer and I can’t get her to consider an alternate approach to chemo, however, I have convinced her to take some essential oils IN ADDITION to the chemotherapy. What are the best oils that I should give her to help with the side effects, and what oils can I give her to possibly help the cancer from spreading or coming back?
- Anette in Harrisonburg
Q3 - 21:22
Since I cleaned up my diet, and focused on eating 80% clean, my thyroid is functioning so much better. I have significantly decreased the dosage of my medication. I really want to get off thyroid medication completely, and am curious how essential oils can help me with this goal?
- Sandra in North Carolina
Q4 - 28:59
What is your opinion on ingesting/swallowing essential oils? There are a lot of mixed reviews. Are there certain brands that are better to swallow than others, and are there certain oils that should not be swallowed? Also, I was taught that I need to put a carrier oil in my capsule but I don’t understand the point to that because once you swallow it and the capsule dissolves, it’s all going to the same place at the same time anyways!
- Erica in Minnesota
Q5 - 36:38
I struggle with really bad anxiety, but really don’t want to get on medication because I’ve heard stories from my friends. What are some of the best essential oils that I can use for my anxiety, and how should I be taking them- diffusing, swallowing, rubbing them on me, etc? I tried diffusing one oil called “Stress Away” which is a blend, at night time, and it gave me CRAZY dreams- which is the opposite of the effect I was going for lol. Do you think this caused my weird dreams or was it a coincidence?
- Alex in Bedford
Q6 - 41:58
I once went to an essential oil “party” where they were selling oils. The lady who led the party said that if there is an oil whose smell really offends us, our body is telling us that we need and crave that oil. Do you agree with this, and is there any truth to it? If so, will you explain? I’ve noticed one smell in particular that I can’t STAND is Clary Sage, and I’ve struggled with hormonal imbalance my whole life. This kind of made met think her theory is true?
- Jamie in Suffolk
Q7 - 45:12
I want to start diffusing some oils in my office that will help make everyone alert and productive, especially in that afternoon slump. What are some of the best oils that I can diffuse that won’t be too strong smelling, but will really give everyone that extra UMPH we all need? Any ideas?
-Corrie in Little Rock
Q8 - 46:42
My son is almost five months, and I’ve had recurring Mastitis almost twice a month in both breasts since he was born. I really don’t want to stop breast feeding because of the cost associated with formula, and of course the health benefits. I also don’t want to constantly take antibiotics either! What are some oils that I can use that could help prevent the Mastitis from coming back, or atleast treat the symptoms? I know some oils are not safe for breast feeding, so I want to be REALLY careful.

Listener Questions:
Q1 - 6:30
Q: I have heard so much fuss about Fats lately. When I was growing up, my parents always bought Low-Fat versions of everything, I’ve always tried to avoid fats like the plague! But now I hear more and more people talking about fats being healthy for you, which is just hard for me to understand. What makes fat healthy? And what are some of the best sources of fats I should be eating?
-Molly in New York
Q2 - 10:38
Q: I am so excited for Dr. Gittleman to come on the podcast because I want to talk to someone about perimenopause. I am only 40, but I have noticed over the past year or so my period has become very erratic. I’ve been pretty consistent with my period my whole life. Another thing I’ve noticed is a major decrease in my sex drive. 40 seems a little young to me to be going through the change already, none of my girlfriends seem to be experiencing the same thing. My gyno says that everything is normal. Is this early to be transitioning into menopause? What are some foods that I can eat, supplements I should take, things I should be doing to make the transition go more smooth?
-Jeanette in Knoxville
Q3 - 12:34
Q: I am 45 and I think that I am in the early phases of Menopause. I am debating the pros and cons of Hormone Therapy. My Doctor is really pushing it but I have read some opposing viewpoints online. What is your opinion? I am also curious, when can I safely stop taking birth control?
-Mary in Delaware
Q4 - 15:41
Q: After reading your book, I am working really hard to cut back my sugar. I am so shocked as I learn more about all the things that have hidden sugars! What are some tricks I can use to spot out these hidden sugars, and some keywords I should be looking for when I am scanning labels? I don’t have time to do a deep dive research on every single food I eat!
-Olivia in Newport News
Q5 - 17:35
Q: I went to the Doctor for a hemorrhoid, which is embarrassing, and he told me I wasn’t getting enough fiber. I eat a good bit of kale, arugula, and broccoli, and think my diet is pretty well rounded. Should I be taking a fiber drink? What are some other foods I should be eating? Unfortunately, I get hemorrhoids at least once a year, and I really want to know what I should be doing to prevent them.
-Anonymous
Q6 - 21:42
Q: I recently had weird aches and pains in my arms and legs and something that I read online told me I needed to increase my salt intake. I drank some salt water and immediately felt better, it was so odd! I am confused because I usually hear that I need to stay away from salt and sodium, esp if I am trying to lose weight. But as I started reading more online, I am finding that a lot of diets, esp the Keto diet, encourage salt. I feel really puffy when I eat a lot of salt and can’t imagine it is good for you. What’s the verdict?
-Terri in Long Beach
Q7 - 23:05
Q: I have figured out by the process of elimination that my body really doesn’t respond well to dairy. I cut it out a couple months ago and I feel so much better, my skin has cleared up, I have more energy, and I am much more regular in the bathroom. I keep going back to the commercials that say “Milk does a body good”…growing up it was hammered in me that we needed to drink milk for calcium. What are some good ways that I can be sure I am getting calcium without cutting out milk?
-Brenda in Lynchburg
Q8 - 24:16
Q: Can you explain the difference in Saturated Fats and Unsaturated fats? Am I supposed to be eating both of these? How many fats should I have each day?
-Katie in Lexington
Q9 - 26:04
Q: As you suggested in the podcast, I am waking up in the morning and I am taking my blood sugar and it ranges from 95-100 in the fasted state. I’ve read different things online that say this is considered pre-diabetic, and others that say this is normal- what are your thoughts? Should I be concerned, and what should I try to do in order to lower this naturally?
-Tammy in Grand Rapids
Q10 - 28:42
Q: I went to a Kinesiologist that my friend recommended to me, and he said that I have a lot of toxic metals in my body. I don’t really understand what this means. How did I get them, and what are some things I can do to get rid of them? Is there a way that I can test the metals myself?
-Andrea in St Petersburg
Q11 - 30:40
Q: My husband refuses to use my “hippy” toothpaste as he calls it, and I can’t get him to try a non-fluoride toothpaste. Do you think it is a big deal to use non fluoride toothpaste? I have gotten a little paranoid lately and am concerned about the Fluoride levels in the water at my house as well. Should I be?
-Kim in St Louis
Q12 - 32:48
Q: I am in Real Estate (like you!) and so as you can understand, I am ALWAYS on my cellphone. I’ve been reading about EMF poisoning lately and it is starting to freak me out. Am I better off talking on speaker phone, or using headphones?
-Cara in South Carolina

LISTENER QUESTIONS
Q1 - 17:53
I loved your podcast with April when she talked about healing her cancer naturally. She said that she recommends using a lot of Chinese herbs, but didn’t really specify which herbs were Chinese and what the best herbs are for helping fight cancer. I am hoping that Jane can help clarify?
- Naomi in Chesterfield
Q2 - 20:20
I recently had a raised garden bed installed at my house. At first I planted a bunch of veggies but I wasn’t really happy with how they turned out and it was just too much work. I want to turn the bed into an herb garden. What are some of the most useful, low maintenance herbs that I can plant in there?
- Sutton in New Jersey
Q3- 22:38
I am super diet conscious and eat really clean, my weight is in normal range, but I STILL struggle with my blood pressure. I really really don’t want to be on blood pressure meds for life. Have you seen any situations where people were able to regulate their blood pressure using herbs?
- Alan in Virginia Beach
Q4 - 27:41
I am excited to hear from an herbalist on your podcast, I am always looking for all natural remedies for my children because I really want to keep them off antibiotics. Which herbs are the best to have on hand for children? My kids are relatively healthy, they just deal with the sniffles, sore throats, ear infections that are common for kids their age. Are there any herbs that are UNSAFE for kids, and is there anything I should have them all the time as a preventative?

Q5- 29:44
My husband found a tick on him about 3 months ago and hasn’t been feeling well lately. Of course I googled way more than I should have and I am convinced that he has Lyme Disease… He says I am a hypochondriac, and of course won’t go to the doctor. Are there any herbs that I could slip him that would help with his symptoms, and potentially help prevent the Lyme Disease from developing? He is tired and achy all the time, complains of a headache a lot, and commonly has a slight fever.

I have always struggled with hormonal imbalances and my doctor keeps me on birth control to help with this. I really want to wean off the birth control (W/O giving too much information, I don’t need it as a contraceptive). I want to take a more natural approach, so I have two questions. 1) Are there any herbs that will help regulate my hormones? 2) If so, is it safe to take them WHILE I am on my birth control, and how do you recommend I slowly wean myself off?
-Brenda in Quebec
Q7 - 34:58
I started getting lumps and red bumps in my armpits. I’ve weaned myself off wearing any type of deodorant/antiperspirant and I feel so much better! Lumps and bumps are completely gone and after a week or so I found that I’m not even sweating there anymore and no odor at all! Is it healthier to just wear no deodorant/antiperspirant at all? Are there any natural herbs that help act as an antiperspirant?

I had shingles about 3 years ago during a stressful time in my life. Unfortunately, it has just come back again. The case wasn’t yet severe, and my Doctor put me on Valtrex, which seems to be helping the shingles go away, but I really hate taking “drugs”…is there anything I should be taking now to help the active case that I have, and is there anything that I could take regularly to help prevent them from coming back?

Listener Questions
Q1 - 16:04
My biggest problem when I am eating is that I become a food zombie, I eat so fast and without paying attention! I notice that if I am eating with other people I am always the first to finish. Eating fast also causes me to eat more, but I am having the worst time trying to slow down. I am really busy, and I don’t want to waste a huge portion of my life sitting there and eating, even though I know I need to. Do you have any advice for this?
- Frankie in Corpus Christi
Q2 - 18:00
My daughter and I have this tradition where every Friday night, we have a movie night and watch a movie that she picks, and eat a whole bunch of popcorn and snacks. I really love this time with her, and the snacks have become part of our tradition. The problem is that I’ve noticed I can eat a massive bowl of popcorn without even realizing it. What’s the saying…once you pop you can’t stop? Anyways, I don’t want to give up this tradition with my daughter, but I also don’t want to feel like total crap at the end of the movie! How can I still enjoy this time without eating a huge bowl of everything but the kitchen sink?
- Sarah in Delaware
Q3 - 20:00
I recently heard a podcast where they were talking about ‘The Big Four’…making sure you are getting some protein, fat, fiber, and greens with each meal. I have a pretty good idea of what good proteins, fats, and greens are, but am a little stuck on the fiber. Do you agree with this concept of the Big Four, and if so, what are some good sources of Fiber that are easy and I can be sure to include with my meals?
- Rebecca in New Hope
Q4 - 21:47
I have been doing Intermittent Fasting for about a month and I am starting to notice an increase in my energy, and a few pounds lost. The one thing that I really don’t like about it is when I push myself to a longer fasting window, I get super hangry towards the end. On several occasions, I have got so hangry that I completely binge out when I eat the first meal of the day. I know that this is not a healthy way to do Intermittent Fasting…starving myself and then binging out. How can I find the balance of letting my stomach growl and get hungry before I eat, but then be mindful of what and how I eat when I open my eating window?
-Melanie in Chesapeake
Q5 - 23:39
I’ve read so many recipes and articles lately about power smoothies, and almost every recipe says to use a scoop of “Your Favorite Protein Powder” or “Protein Powder of Your Choice”…my issue is I have never bought protein powder so I have no clue what kind I like, or what kind would be best for me. I hear people talk about plant based protein, collagen, soy, whey, etc. Can you break down the differences in the different types of protein so that I know where to start?
-Alex in Manassas
Q6 - 26:40
I love to cook for my family, and I always feel like food is healthier when I control exactly what is in it and what is added. The problem with cooking is that lately I’ve noticed that I am not even hungry when it comes time to eat. I realized that I am doing so much taste testing, trying every ingredient and trying the food every step of the process that I am eating way more than I realize. I like to try it to see how it tastes before I feed it, but I don’t want to keep tacking on these extra calories. What do you recommend?
-Tara in Tennessee
Q7 - 27:49
I love the Hunger Scale that you included in your book, it is way more simple to understand than some of the other ones that I’ve seen. You say that we shouldn’t go past a four or five when we are eating, which is extremely stuffed. How can I recognize when I am getting too stuffed and should stop eating, what signs should I look for in my body?

My mood swings have been OUT OF CONTROL lately and I have been doing research trying to figure out what is going on because I don’t have anything going on in my life that would justify this moodiness. I have been reading a lot about gut health, and gut feelings, and am intrigued. Do you believe that our gut truly affects our mood, and how does this work?
-Liz in Cooperstown
Q2 - 7:27
I am a recovering sugar addict, and a mom of one. I want to know how to curb my sugar cravings and eat healthier in general! BUT, I get hung up on the fact that I have Oral Allergy Syndrome which causes my body to be oversensitive to the pollen in most fresh fruits and veggies. I get an allergic reaction including throat and tongue swelling. Common foods I cant have are apples, bananas, pears, peaches, plums, carrots, green beans, and celery. Help!!!
-Mira. (Sounds like Mee-ruh), Eau Claire, WI
Q3 - 11:32
I can NOT shake this funk I am feeling! I haven’t felt like myself in months. I am tired all the time, even though I am getting the same amount of sleep I’ve always got. I have been following your 80/20 principle and eating clean 80% of the time, and have even been keeping an eye on my gluten and dairy. I had my doctor run a panel and he said that everything looked completely normal. What could be wrong?
-Angel in Harrisonburg
Q4 - 14:14
I am trying so hard to get more sleep because everyone tells me how important it is when I am trying to lose weight, but I just can’t seem to make myself go to bed early! I try to get in bed around 9 and usually end up staring at my ceiling or my phone until atleast 11pm or almost
midnight. Sleeping in is not an option for me, so I need to figure out how I can make myself go to bed earlier and sleep through the night.
* Brenna in Massachusetts
Q5 - 16:28
I read online that being outside and getting sunlight will help with my gut health which I think is CRAZY! I have no idea how the two are connected, but I am wondering how I can implement this, how much time do I need to spend outside to enjoy the benefits of sunlight and fresh air, and do you have any tips to squeeze this into my day?
* Michelle in Hampton
Q6 - 19:11
I’ve recently been diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue, and I am trying to figure out how to get a handle on it the natural way. What are some foods that I should be focusing on eating, and what are the foods that I should be avoiding? Are there any natural supplements and vitamins that you recommend I take?
* Holly in Atlanta
Q7 - 29:30
I am working hard to regulate my blood sugar naturally and am focusing on foods with a low glycemic index. What are some of the best things that I should be eating? Also, do you think buying organic makes a big difference?
* Katherine in SC
Q8 - 37:28
I’ve recently started making smoothies in the morning and try to squeeze as much green stuff in there as I can! A friend recommended buying frozen organic spinach, because it’s cheaper than fresh spinach AND it makes the smoothies cold and icy which I love. I am just curious if frozen spinach has all the same properties as fresh spinach? Is there any difference?
* Rachel in Columbia
Q9 - 41:06
I’ve always heard that weight loss is 90% what you eat, and that exercise isn’t as important, but I want to start moving and trying to kick my weight loss up a notch. I work a full time job and have two kids, so I don’t have a ton of time, but I am committed to carving out atleast 30 minutes a couple times a week. What is the best exercise I can do to maximize this small amount of time?

In this episode we answer some of the most popular questions that we're asked alot! We talk about how you can identify your hunger scale, how to stop LATE NIGHT snacking, and when and if you should start OMAD (One Meal A Day) fasting! This is part 2 of a special two part Q&A series. Enjoy!
Q1 - 01:20
I read your book and enjoyed the idea of the Hunger Scale. I am just having a hard time identifying what my hunger level is? What are some ways that you identify physical hunger, or true hunger as you call it?
-April in Tampa
Q2 - 06:26
My job is crazy, and my favorite thing to do in the evening is unwind with some reality tv, and something salty like pretzels or popcorn. I eat really clean all day while I am working and this is my one ritual that I really enjoy at night, even if I am not super hungry. Do you have any tips where I can still enjoy my snacks and not give them up completely? I don’t want to give up my nighttime snacks, but I really want to try your program.
-Myra in Winston Salem
Q3 - 10:47
I’ve been doing Intermittent Fasting for 6 months and I still cannot wrap my brain around the lack of appetite! Before I started, if I didn’t eat every 3 hours, internal alarms would go off. Actual sirens!!!. Now I just have a glass of water and chill and the hunger seems to pass. It seems so weird to not be obsessing about the next meal, but I like it! To kick things up a notch, I want to try moving from a 6 hour window to OMAD, what are your thoughts on this?

In your book, you talk about the 80/20 Principle a lot, but you’ve mentioned on the podcast that you try to eat cleaner than that because you have thyroid issues. Where do you come up with these numbers? If I don’t have health issues, or need to lose a ton of weight, could I do more of a 70/30?
